Update: July 21

At least, I’ve made an update. How I miss blogging. It’s been a while since I’ve checked my email account and Google Reader and the mail are piling up. I have a lot to do and I’m damn busy. Anyway, before I rant everything from small to being complicated, I just want to say that I wasn’t accepted in the Atenews team. Maybe I’m not that “thick-faced” yet or I haven’t got the right WPA or I don’t know. Maybe, next year.. A lot of next time. Anyway, I’ve updated since the time that the Internet at home was cut off because I paid my tuition bills and my mother has been going out-of-town since. Hmmm. Where do I start… Wait… By the way, this would be very long… Haha.. Just kidding.. Longer but I don’t know how long.

Let me start with.. Wow! I got a 80+ grade on my Prelim examination on my History 50 or better known as Rizal. I’m better yet happy about it because first of all, I wasn’t serious on the exam and I was pretty sure that I can pass the exam. Then, I had my last prelim a while ago and it was Psychology 111 or General Psychology.

I had a great feeling or sense of being in the group when I transferred or shifted from IT to Mass Com. I mean, my mother has observed it too that I am happy with my current course. It has something to do with the people in it.

Anyway, I seen my long lost chat mate last week, twice, we’ve seen each other for the same day. Lol. Talk about love? No way… Haha. I’ve got my own standards and I can’t risk it. No, no… It’s not like, I’m “torpe” or what but it’s just, I focus on my study first.

I would like to appeal that this blog site is best viewed under Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or 3.0.1 or Windows Explorer 7. Thank you very much.

Plugins on WordPress 2.6

Here’s an interesting fact about the plugin tab on WordPress 2.6. Whenever a new update arises, the number of update/s would be seen. It’s like… The comment tab with how many awaiting comments do you have. This feature has been extended to the plugin tab so that you would know which of the plugins and how many plugins do you to upgrade.

Upgrading is essential. It’s the same with your antivirus program that you need to update it so that you can keep up with the threat. Not only upgrading essential but you may not know that some bugs would be fixed and some of it may have new features in it.

I remembered in an Internet cafe here in our place a long time ago that whenever their antivirus would update, they would cancel it because it uses too much memory and your computer usage would be affected. If you do it right now, your computer would be the breeding grounds of all the variants of viruses, worms, trojans and etc.

Please, don’t be too dumb not to update your plugins. If you do, GOOD LUCK..

Test and Exams

Damn. I had my examination on Philippine Constitution and Communication Theory and I say that my exams are quite hard. Plus the Quiz on my Retorika (Filipino) subject which is pain because I don’t know most of the idioms in it. I really, really hate idioms. They bug me all the time. It’s kind of disappointing because you made the best you can and still can’t achieve it. My classmates are bothered with the Filipino project wherein you must accomplish a double spaced, 3 pages, Filipino paper. With the given thought, my head burst in agony because I don’t speak Filipino and it’s a very difficult task especially if you’re speaking Cebuano.

Here’s the chronological events which made me frustrate the day. First, I arrived school just in time to review my Philippine Constitution subject. I met my classmate Ralph in which we went to the classroom together. We reviewed and studied our Phil. Con. subject. When our facilitator arrived, we fix ourselves for the exam. When I received my test paper, I or we were shocked to see that most of the questions of the exam are not or was not in line with what we’ve studied. After a while or so, the test became more difficult. I haven’t answered most of the test items which frustrates me. Aside from the exam, we had our quiz which must be written on a separate sheet of paper. Damn, I wasn’t expecting that to happen. We were very tired from making our Filipino paper and here’s the Phil. Con. killing us to death.

After Phil. Con., we had our Filipino in which we passed our paper and the professor gave us our quiz. Not much, though it’s hard since it’s mostly idioms and it bothers me a lot.

After Filipino, we had our final exam; and that is Communication Theory. It’s our major subject and it’s 100 items. We’ve “burned our eyelashes” just to focus on this type of exam. It’s fine at first then when we have our final items to be answered on. Test [something], Set B, I have the difficulty in answering it since it all about theories and most of the questions were at the middle or at the very core of the theory. I haven’t studied much on the details because I need to know the theorist and the theory itself.

After this incident, I’ve realized that I should be focusing on the details because I wouldn’t know the basis and fact about this theory. Again, I must study and study hard. And please, professors, don’t bombard us with long exams. I mean, if you cover up a lot of topics, please don’t give sh*t to get our asses working. We’re not animals and be considerate with our schedule. Please, bear with us. We’re just students and we’re exhausting ourselves just to pass the requirment/s on your subject.

Wow. Time does really fly very fast. I mean, WordPress 2.6 is supposed to be released on August but it’s been early. How fascinating is that. Anyway, I was really expecting for WordPress 2.6 to be released because I’ve heard that it does have a lot of new features like word count, highlight of plugin update, preview of your themes before you share it to the public, wiki-type of editing your post and many more.

I’ve just upgraded my WordPress blog to WordPress 2.6 and I was really fascinated by it’s features. There’s this Turbo link on my upper-right corner of my dashboard and I’m afraid to click it. Anyway, this is a fresh release of WordPress 2.6 and like other programs or platforms, this would have a lot of bugs. Like in my word count where it has a hard time keeping up with me. I was really fascinated by the new WordPress and more certainly, a lot of bloggers would upgrade to WordPress 2.6

Congratulations WordPress and I have to explore my “new blog”

Happy blogging to all.

Interest in Astronomy

Isn’t it surprising that I have an interest in Astronomy? I haven’t done this before. Though everybody is willing to learn from Astronomy but not all don’t care about it. This interest me very much because of a particular topic. There has been a sighting of “Planet X” and there are a lot of Youtube videos that discloses this particular planet. Though these are videos, I really wanted to formulate or research it on my own way. This would take me a very long time and I have set a deadline for this research paper for 1year. I need to know the basics of Astronomy, the planets, the stars, the measurements and etc.

Good luck to me for this research or mine. I need to read books and more books.
